The Association is run by a council of highly experienced beauty professionals who are elected by the members every two years. So membership of BABTAC gives you the chance to influence decisions that directly affect the industry.

CIBTAC - Excellence in Beauty Therapy Training

The Confederation of International Beauty Therapy and cosmetology is the pre-eminent international training and educational organisation, setting the standards for others to follow.

CIBTAC as the educational arm of BABTAC continually reviews and upgrades the CIBTAC qualification structure to meet the needs of health and beauty internationally.

CIBTAC diplomas are the international qualification to have, as they ensure that the therapist has been examined on the full syllabus, no matter where they are in the world. CIBTAC diploma holders are renowned world-wide for their high quality of expertise.

Candidates study at a CIBTAC approved school/college which is vetted thoroughly by the BABTAC Council to ensure they can offer the high quality training required to prepare candidates for CIBTAC examinations. All schools go through a one year probationary period before being allowed to advertise CIBTAC status.

The BABTAC Office and Council monitor all their schools/colleges resources and examination results through Examiner reports and unannounced spot checks ensuring the CIBTAC name is continually held in high esteem. Schools/colleges unable to maintain such high standards have their CIBTAC approval withdrawn.
